Abduction Alert - Missing Child!
“My child is missing!” Those words spark terror in the minds of parents everywhere. And probably every parent has experienced the heart-stopping moment when in a crowded mall you turn around and your child is nowhere to be seen. Then she pops out from behind the clothes rack and life returns to normal. But try to imagine that feeling not going away in a few seconds... a few minutes... how about a few hours! Your entire life can certainly change very dramatically in a moment.
Child Rescue Network is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit missing and victimized children's organization dedicated to helping protect children and bring home those who are missing. While the scenario of the child disappearing right before your eyes is rare, it certainly does happen, but the majority of missing child cases are runaways. Over 1000 children a day runaway from home and are reported missing by a parent or caretaker. two out of three are sexually solicited within the first two days on the street. These missing kids, the runaways, are frequently targeted by human traffickers and forced into a life a prostitution.
It is the mission of Child Rescue Network to raise the awareness of our missing children and to participate in the search efforts. CRN actually has over a dozen private, licensed, professional investigators who contribute their time to assist law enforcement and the families however possible.
One in six missing kids is located because someone recognizes a picture! That's right a photograph of a child is the single most important tool needed when it comes to finding that child. So Child Rescue Network distributes posters of missing children and partners with media outlets, businesses, and others to help distribute these cases throughout the United States and beyond.
So when you see those pictures of missing children, please take a look. Many can be rescued when people participate to make a difference.
